Booster Club

Athletics + Spirit Shop + IPTAY

The Bishop LeBlond Booster Club has a singular focus; to support athletic, team, and performance activities for LB students and staff. Our students, teachers, coaches and administrators represent Bishop LeBlond in an extraordinary manner. Booster Club encourages school and community spirit, recognizes the endeavors and achievements of teams and individuals, and supports clergy, teachers, coaches and administrative staff as they guide our students.

Funds raised by Booster Club volunteerism have purchased supplies and equipment including a new track tent, a rotating schedule of team apparel, display banners and placards celebrating achievement, a digital athletic scouting and analytics system, sound equipment, stage curtains, choir robes, school advertising, game roster covers, audio visual equipment, furniture, school website design, travel expenses for state-bound teams, and building and grounds maintenance. Every athletic team benefits from the Booster Club and most receive their entire uniform from the Booster Club. Uniforms for sports like swimming, golf, and tennis which require a custom fit, are supported by Boosters in other ways.

Booster funds are generated from memberships, concession sales, the Spirit Shop, Trails West beer sales, IPTAY (I Pay Twenty a Year), basketball tournaments, and various other fundraisers.  All parents are encouraged to become members, and we love it when grandparents, aunts, uncles and other family members join! Alumni, friends and others who support and promote activities at Bishop LeBlond are all welcome members of the Booster Club! Membership levels are listed below.

The Booster Club hosts an Annual LeBlond Booster Club Kick-Off Dinner in August. The 2017 dinner was Saturday, August 12th at the Knights of Columbus Hall on North 49th Terrace, and it was the best attended event of its kind in several years. Athletic Director Michael Evans introduced our fall sports coaching staff and spoke about the accomplishments of the previous year and his vision of the athletic dynasty LeBlond has the potential to build. In addition to a mouth-watering meal and beer on tap, entertainment was provided, LeBlond spirit items were raffled, and LB logo apparel and merchandise was available.

Similar social events will kick off each sports season, giving Booster Club members the opportunity to network and touch base before games begin.

The Booster Club is responsible for operating the concession stand and entry gate for home events hosted by LB. A VP of Volunteers and Concessions organizes the schedule and coordinates the efforts of two parent representatives from each class. The class reps recruit volunteers to run the concession stand and take fees at the gate, ensuring LeBlond is well represented and keeps fans well fed at our events. Serving at games and events is a great way for families to work on earning some of their required 30 hours of service to the school.

Thank you for your generous donation of time, talent and treasure, which allows the Booster Club to continue its financial support of Bishop LeBlond High School. That support directly alleviates financial obligations that others would have to assume responsibility for. It takes all of us to maintain the high standards and pride that have been long associated with Bishop LeBlond High School.

Spirit Shop

The Eagles Nest Spirit Shop is part of the Bishop LeBlond Booster Club. Funds from the Spirit Shop go towards purchasing uniforms and equipment for the athletic programs, as well as many other improvements for the school. The permanent store is the glassed-in room at the west end of Fisher Family Commons. We also take the Spirit Shop "on the road" several times throughout the year, setting up at home football games, the Booster Club Kick-Off Dinner, LB Night at the Mustangs, and various other events and activities.

Come check us out! We carry t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, umbrellas, blankets, caps, jewelry, and more! The shop is open during most home games or you may stop by Bishop LeBlond any day that school is in session between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to shop for Golden Eagles merchandise. Call the school at 279-1629 for more details. There are some new items for sale in the spirit shop, including new t-shirt and sweatshirt designs and new FLIP FLOPS.

The Spirit Shop is excited to announce we now accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover! Please see Debbie Mahoney 816-244-2622 or Chris Glenski at 816-244-2033 if you have any questions.

You can also purchase during school hours 8:00 to 3:30 when school is in session. The Spirit Shop is part of the LeBlond Booster Club, and profits go to support our athletic and extracurricular programs. Thank you for your support!”

IPTAY

The Booster Club began a program twelve years ago for the purpose of providing families with the opportunity to give painlessly; while at the same time visibly showing their support of Bishop LeBlond.  The program is called “IPTAY,” which stands for “I Pay Twenty A Year.”  For a mere $20.00, you will have the opportunity to display the enclosed window sticker on your vehicle.  This will enable you to not only provide financial support to Bishop LeBlond; but to also assist with promoting Bishop LeBlond to others within your community by “displaying” your support on a daily basis.

Along with your IPTAY window sticker(s) is a self-addressed envelope in which you can enclose your $20.00 donation for the first sticker you purchase, and $10.00 for each additional sticker. You may either mail in your donation or deliver it directly to the school.  When mailing in a donation, please include your return address on the inside envelope, so that we may list you as one of our generous IPTAY supporters on the LeBlond website; (which, incidentally, was redesigned several years ago with funds generated by the Booster Club – through IPTAY – and is a wonderful tool for keeping up with all things Bishop LeBlond! Visit www.bishopleblond.com to see for yourself all of the impressive accomplishments and exciting events that are happening (with your help)!

In closing, it is difficult to provide a quality Catholic education without the assistance of so many who care.  We ask that you help support the students of Bishop LeBlond by sending your IPTAY donation today!  Thank you in advance for your generosity!!!
