Counselor’s Connection –Welcome to the G.O. (guidance office)
I am Edd Green M.S. Ed. your school's academic counselor. I am a retired Missouri guidance counselor and feel very blessed to have joined the LBHS faculty and staff. This is my 35th year as an educator and I look forward to helping the students and families of Leblond. My schedule is to be at school on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Please remember that our entire staff are dedicated to helping your student reach their educational goals and objectives. If at any time advice is needed, use our voice mail or email to contact a teacher, Mr. Sullivan or myself. Dealing with an issue as soon as possible tends to produce the best results for all involved. Please encourage your student to pay close attention to the schools handbook and keep in close touch with their teachers regarding their grades and performance. Seniors are very much encouraged to be vigilant on reviewing information given to them regarding post-secondary institutions, assessments and college scholarship deadlines.
G.O. News: Information regarding programs, events and other G.O. announcements will be uploaded to the Sycamore News page. Please check this regularly.
ACT/SAT: Calendars for both assessments are posted in the guidance office. Registration is online. (The October and April ACT will be given at LBHS). If you have questions please see me. The Bishop LeBlond school ACT code is (262-905). The Bishop LeBlond testing site code is (205-570).
Senior Scholarships: You may find information on the scholarships received to the G.O. on Sycamore in the home page documents tab listed as ‘Senior Scholarships”. Most scholarships will have a link for students to use. Scholarship forms without links will available in the G.O. Please check this regularly.
Transcripts for current students: Complete the transcript order form below. Once completed an email reply with the word “DONE” will be sent for verification.
Personal Data Sheet: Seniors requesting a counselor recommendation must complete and return a personal data sheet which was given to them at registration. A one week minimum is requested for recommendations. Additional forms are available in the G.O.
Student Service Hours: Please refer to page 3 in the handbook for information on this graduation requirement. I am the care-taker of the service records and present the final form to the principal in the spring. Parents should keep a copy of the signed forms ‘just in case’ they don’t make it to me. If there is a discrepancy on the hours, please have your student come see me so we can go through their file together and make sure there are no errors. Coming soon-Service hour forms will be available on the homepage under "FORMS" (bottom of page). They are also available in the front office and guidance office. Note: Student Service Hours should not be confused with Family Service Hours. If a student logs service in Mrs. Leone's log books, please transfer the information to a student service hour form.
