LeBlond gave recognition to its three seniors Friday night, but couldn't cap the evening off with a victory, dropping an MEC contest to Benton, 66 - 45. Seniors Joe Voltmer, Sage Barnes, and Chuckie Kempf were recognized before the game. The three seniors have played basketball all four years at LeBlond. Even though he has been out almost all season with a torn ACL, Kempf was given the start with fellow seniors Barnes and Voltmer to close out their LeBlond career's in Grace Gymnasium. He stayed on the floor for a little over a minute before Matthew McCullough took over at point guard.
Joe Voltmer scored 10 points in the game and Sage Barnes added 3. Junior Grant Gillaspie led the scoring for LeBlond with 17. LeBlond's season record now stands at 9 - 15, with their MEC record at 1 - 6. The only conference win came against Chillicothe. The Golden Eagles have one more regular season game next week before beginning district play against Mid-Buchanan.
