Boys Basketball

Bishop LeBlond Boys Basketball has a long tradition of success. Boy's compete at the varsity, junior varsity, and freshman levels. The program has advanced to the state quarterfinals in nearly every decade of its 50-year history and won the state title in 1977.

Currently, Golden Eagles Boys Basketball competes in the Midland Empire Conference and participates in City Showcase, the Bishop LeBlond Holiday Tournament, the Cameron Tournament and the Savannah Tournament. Varsity Coach Steve Vertin is entering his 13th year with the Golden Eagles. He is assisted by Weston Sanger and Jay Wheeler. Vertin's 2002 team participated in the state final four, and his teams have advanced to the state quarterfinals two other times during his tenure.

2010/2011 Season - Congratulations to:

Chuckie Kempf for being named 1st team all-city, 1st team all-district, and honorable mention all-MEC.

Jacob Madden was also recognized with honorable mention all-MEC honors.
